DriveAble Solutions was founded by Lynn Hedrick in 1999. Our team has vast experience with all types of disabilities and are Certified Driving Rehabilitation Specialists (CDRS) through ADED membership who evaluate, train, and prescribe vehicles to either get people with disabilities driving or to keep them driving. We are unique in that our focus is only in Arizona which translates to the ability to get a quick, thorough appointment with us. Our approach is safety first! DriveAble Solutions only uses clinical and behind-the-wheel evaluation methods that are based on updated meta-analysis driving research. This allows DriveAble Solutions to provide the latest testing to our clients, saving time and getting to rehabilitation efforts faster. We have a variety of vehicles to match potential clients to their physical and cognitive needs for the clinical and driving processes.

Arizona Regulation states that if you have had a change in medical condition, you must report this to the Motor Vehicle Department. This is Motor Vehicle’s way of keeping us all safe on the roads. Your doctor and therapists are following the regulations. This is the Motor Vehicle Department's requirement.
Unfortunately no. They do not see driving as medically necessary; therefore, they do not cover it.
Costs can vary depending on the type of evaluation that needs to be completed. Please contact the office to check on the price of your specific evaluation. The evaluation itself generally takes 2 to 4 hours, depending on the type of evaluation. The amount of training needed varies from case to case. We must also visually inspect your vehicle once it is adapted, and there is an additional charge for this.
There are a few government programs that are able to help cover the costs in certain situations. Please contact our office and speak with one of our staff members if you would like to see if you qualify for one of these programs.
Call the office at (602) 840-2323 for the initial phone consult.
You will drive our evaluation vehicle. But you may need to have someone drive your vehicle to our office at the time of the appointment so the evaluator can visually inspect it. Also, bring your glasses to drive if you wear them and of course your Driver’s License. We will also require a current list of medications.
